Mary Jacqueline McDonald Woolsey, 94, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at University Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born July 18, 1928 in Evansville to the late George R. and Hilda M. (Frank) Schauman.
Jackie graduated from Reitz Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. Jackie was a devout Catholic, former member of St. Benedict Cathedral and currently a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor and was a Pink Lady at St. Mary s Hospital.
Jackie is survived by her children, Randall J. (Cindy Grayson) McDonald, Rebecca McDonald, Leadra (Gregory L.) McDonald Head, Deena (Lisa Withrow) McDonald and M. Kristin McDonald Christman; grandchildren, Caraughlyn Combs, Elizabeth Grayson, Jay (Melissa) Grayson, Isabelle Jacqueline Christman (Andrew Dunkin), Harrison P. Christman and Max Withrow Welch; and great-grandchild, Summer M. Combs.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by husband of seven years, Jess W. Woolsey and her husband of 36 years, Joseph B. McDonald; son, Timothy W. McDonald; brothers, George and Donald Schauman; and sisters, Madonna Wentzel, Yvonne Buck, Beverly Berendsen, Bernadette Dodge and Josette Berry.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Martin Estrada and Father Ted Tempel officiating.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
