Wilma Eileen Williams, 98, of Princeton, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton.
Wilma was born June 8, 1924 in Clay County, Tennessee, the daughter of Erby and Margaret (Rayborn) Franklin.
She attended Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton. She raised seven children. She worked as an aide, housekeeping supervisor and med tech at Forest Del Nursing Home; as a breakfast hostess at Hampton Inn in Princeton; and at the Gibson County Area Rehabilitation Center in Gibson County.
Wilma was 65 years old when she earned her driver s license. She loved people and possessed a sweet disposition toward them. In turn, people loved her. She often was the life of the party . She enjoyed Sisters Day every Monday. She also enjoyed driving around in the country and picking wild flowers and occasionally weeds, anything that looked pretty. She was always ready to hit the road anytime someone wanted to take her somewhere. She enjoyed music and was a member of the Doodly Do s senior citizen singing group.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Colleen (Blake) Barthlome of Angleton, Texas, Mike (Becky) Williams of Princeton, Kathy (Wes) Adams of Parker, Colorado; Tom (Barbara) Williams of Princeton, Becky (Bruce) Brink of Princeton and Linda Williams of Princeton; grandchildren, Scot (Shelly) Joy, Rachel (Scott) Johnson, Amanda (Mario) Fazio, Becki (Eric) Holland, Nicole (Bryan) Henry, Michael (Tammy) Williams, Jasmin (Matthew) Perry, Jessica LaFoe, Robert (Angela) Adams, Greg Adams, Angie (Paul) White, Dave (Brittany) Williams, Elizabeth (Aaron) Neyhouse, Jaleigh (Chris) Cates, Parker (Kathleen) Brink, Raleigh Brink and Katie Brink; great grandchildren, Cole Joy, Cooper Johnson, Reese Johnson, Blake Fazio, Bailey Fazio, Elliott Adams, Austin White, Cody White, Nick Williams, Tyler (Peyton) Williams, Dalen Williams, Caleigh Cates, Michael Cates, Cole Brink, Summer Dardeen and Jeter Dardeen; great great grandchild, Clint Williams; sister, Judy (Harold) Williams of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Nick Williams; grandsons, Nick Price and Jason Williams; brother, Gilbert Allen Franklin; and sisters, Dean Strothers and Barbara Deisher.
Wilma s memorial service will be held at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to the time of service. Interment will be at White Church Cemetery. All services will be open to family and friends.
